Pech cloves

Pech cloves (Lychnis) are a genus in the family Caryophyllaceae. Perhaps it is a synonym for the genus Silene.

The German generic name is derived from the highly sticky stems of ordinary Catchfly (Lychnis Viscaria from).

Description

There are perennial herbaceous plants. Typical of all the Pink family is the dichasiale branching. The leaves are antithetic sessile, entire, oblong and entire. Stipules are not available.
